Pilates teaches functional fitness and efficient movement patterns that can be integrated into athletic performance training as well as daily life. This practice benefits people at all levels of fitness. Anyone can do it; men and women, the young and athletic, or the older individual. Regardless of your physical ability, the Pilates method teaches you a way of life; you sit better, you sleep better, you stand better, you’re stronger, and you’re more in control of your body. Pilates is particularly beneficial for athletes, including golfers, tennis players, swimmers, surfers, runners, and dancers, to stabilize their core muscles. A regular Pilates practice improves flexibility, strength, body awareness, balance, and muscular endurance. A wide variety of specialized equipment are used to facilitate movement and train the body from head-to-toe including the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Barrel, Orbit, Arc, and Pilates Chair.
Private Pilates lessons are one-on-one training sessions with a certified Pilates Instructor lasting 55-minutes.
Duet Pilates lessons are two-on-one training sessions with a certified Pilates Instructor lasting 55-minutes. This means that two clients will work with a trainer at the same time. We recommend that duets are performed with clients of similar fitness levels with similar goals to maximize the clients’ results. Both clients must be present for sessions to be conducted.
Studio Pilates classes are group training sessions conducted with a maximum of four clients with a certified Pilates Instructor lasting 55-minutes. See the Studio Pilates Class Schedule for days and times.

Anyone who wants to move with less pain as well as increased strength, endurance, and power. This includes exercise participants of any age and all levels (beginners to competitive athletes). In Pilates, we instruct foundational movement upon which you can progress in strength, flexibility, and stability with proper alignment.
Pilates and yoga complement each other because they both involve exercises and movement techniques that increase strength, flexibility, and stability. It is important to note that while they share these benefits, they are entirely different practices with unique origins, exercises, movement philosophies, breathing techniques, and overall goals. They offer different approaches toward lengthening and strengthening. Pilates also can be performed on both the mat and specialized equipment designed by Joseph Pilates to work the entire body in all ranges of motion. Experience a Pilates session to feel the difference!
For your safety and improved results, we recommend taking private lessons before jumping into a class or group setting. By taking private lessons first, you will learn proper Pilates technique and principles based on your specific needs. With this knowledge, you can then apply your modifications in a Studio Pilates class that moves at a faster pace with less individualized attention.
We welcome non-members to experience all of our Studio Pilates services! Non-member rates are $5 more per session than member rates and are subject to availability.
Three times a week is ideal; however once a week will give you Pilates benefits. Because Pilates is a practice, consistency is the key to success and results.
